"Entries for the second annual round of SIDN Internet Awards are open until noon on Wednesday 5 October 2011. It couldn’t be easier to enter for an award in one of the five categories: Internet and sustainability, The power of the network, Government and citizens in dialogue, A secure internet and Knowledge transfer in the digital world.
By making the awards, SIDN wishes to reward individuals, businesses and other organisations in the Netherlands for the work that they do to make the internet more accessible and to promote its secure use.
In each category, three entries will be nominated to record ‘elevator pitches’, which can subsequently be used to promote their projects. On the basis of the project presentations and supporting information, a professional jury will assess the nominees and choose a winner in each category.
The five category winners will be announced at ‘25 Years of .nl’, a congress marking the domain’s silver jubilee, which takes place on 10 November."
