Afilias announced recently that dotMobi company remains in the Afilias brand familiy .Afilias dismissed the article in The Telegraph ,according to which Google invested $200 million in dotMobi company .
"While Google was an early investor in the dotMobi company, all formal financial ties were dissolved between dotMobi and Google – along with its 13 other former investors – in February 2010, when Afilias acquired 100% of dotMobi. Today, dotMobi is a successful and wholly owned subsidiary of Afilias," said Hal Lubsen,CEO of Afilias .The article in The Telegraph stated that "The recent $200 million investment in dotMobi ... underscore(s) how prescient Google was in that acquisition."
