Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has recently acquired three .XXX domain names in order to avoid having a porn website developed under the same name .
ICM Registry,the company behind .XXX domains started selling .XXX domain names this year,after years of trying to do so . This period companies can acquire .XXX domain names in order to avoid mismanagement when the domain name is open to the public .The three domain names acquired by DoIT are : Missouri.xxx,Mizzou.xxx and Missouritigers.xxx .
""It will help parents filter pornography from a computer children may use and that’s a good thing,"said Terry Robb,Division of Information Technology Director .
