DENIC,the manager of the .de domain name,the country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Germany will be involved at the event initiated by Facebook,Yahoo,Akamai and Google,named World IPv6 Day .
The event was initiated in order to draw attention to the launch of the new Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6).
On June 8,Facebook,Yahoo,Akamai and Google,together with other web and Internet service providers will apply the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols in parallel .This operation is also called Dual-stack operation.Moreover,this event will probably help identify potential problems when running under IPv6 .
DENIC is one of the companies that embraces this new protocol.Therefore,the company will make available all web and email services via IPv6 .DENIC services will be offered in parallel under IPv4 and IPv6 .
