CZ.NIC, the registry for .CZ (Czech Republic) domain names will hold their third ENUM Day on Thursday 15 October in Prague.
The one-day conference will demonstrate and present the current topics
associated with VoIP and ENUM to those who would like to make calls
over the Internet in their companies/organizations or as individuals.
The agenda includes several novelties focused on practical aspects of
VoIP implementation and use. One of them is making calls over the
Internet from cell phones. The participants will also be able to
configure their cell phones for VoIP calls on the spot and subsequently
use the cell phones in a competition with valuable prizes. This issue
will have a stand-alone presentation with demonstrations.
“The highlight of the conference will be the talk by our colleague Petr
Hruška, who will offer step-by-step instructions on how to implement
VoIP in a medium company. Petr Hruška will show the interested parties
what they will need to implement VoIP, what kinds of problems they can
face and how to resolve them,” explains Pavel Tůma from the CZ.NIC
association.
Participants can also look forward to case studies that will feature
experiences one academic (Silesian University in Opava) and one
municipal authority (Most City Hall). This presentation will be
accompanied by a talk about the implementation and expansion of ENUM in
Great Britain and a lecture about VoIP security.
This edition of the conference brings one novelty - streaming of all
presentations along with the subsequent discussions. The servers
Lupa.cz and Mobilmania.cz and the Chip monthly agreed to act as media
sponsors of the event. A ticket for the conference costs 200 CZK.
