ICM Registry,the company behind the .XXX top level domain has launched the Sunrise Period A on September 7,2011 .Businesses and website operators will have the opportunity to register domains under the new .XXX suffix until October 28,2011 .
With a 50 day Sunrise period,businesses are rushing to block their .XXX domains,in order to prevent any misuse of their brand-name by others .Hundred companies asked to block their trademarks from being associated with adult content since the Sunrise Period A started .
.XXX domain name blocking is valid for ten years.Blocked .XXX domain names will display the following message : "The domain is reserved through the ICM Registry Rights Protection Program" .
Register .XXX domains at accredited registrar .
