The city of Paris officially declared its itention to apply for a .Paris on June 25,2008.
Recently,the city of Paris has launched a campaign for supporting this application.The campaign was started on December 9th,2009 by the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand DELANOË, and his deputy in charge of Innovation, Jean-Louis MISSIKA.

"The Paris metropolitan area could substantially benefit from the availability of domain names under a dedicated .paris TLD.
