The Internet ecosystem is changing, from the liberalization of the new domain name extensions, to sharing IPv6 expertise at the national and international levels, not to mention the specific issues involved in terms of Internet resilience or the new legal framework for domain names, such that AFNIC is adapting and redefining its organizational model. With this in mind, it has set up 4 departments, headed by Mathieu Weill, its CEO, namely:
- An Information and Operations Department headed by Philippe Renaut
- A Legal and Registry Policy Department, headed by Isabel Toutaud
- A Financial and Administrative Department, headed by Marine Chantreau
- Plus a Marketing and Innovation Department headed by Bertrand Louveau, who joined AFNIC in early May 2011 as part of the change.
After graduating from the IPAG Business School with a joint Masters degree in Business Administration in London and Munich, Bertrand Louveau has become a specialist in strategy and business development in predominantly technological sectors, with wide-reaching international experience.
Before joining AFNIC, he was Director of International Development for Mobile Distillery, the leader in software development for mobile applications.
He has previously held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for several companies specializing in wireless solutions and electronic components, in particular for Answer Systems - Wipro Technology, the leader on the Indian market for IT offshore services. On a personal level, the Brittany-born manage is an Asian enthusiast and practices scuba diving.
