The Belarus law bans its citizens from using foreign websites . Authorities threatened to impose fines for Wi-Fi providers,Internet Cafes and any other individuals that share Internet connections if they don't report users who are trying to violate this law .
"The Law requires that all companies and individuals who are registered as entrepreneurs in Belarus use only domestic Internet domains for providing online services, conducting sales, or exchanging email messages. It appears that business requests from Belarus cannot be served over the Internet if the service provider is using online services located outside of the country. The tax authorities, together with the police and secret police, are authorized to initiate, investigate, and prosecute such violations. (Id.)," says the new law ,according to Library of Congress .The law will enter into force on January 6,2012 .
Even though the law is said to be an attempt to block access to pornography and censor other materials,many people don't agree with the new law.
