AT&T wins domain name case

An arbitrator with the National Arbitration Forum has awarded the Attnetclient.net domain name to AT&T,the largest provider of fixed telephony in the United States .
The company submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum, asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name.
AT&T owns trademark registration both for the "AT&T" mark and "ATT.net" mark. Therefore, the company contended the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark. Moreover, they contended the respondent registered and used the domain name in bad faith .
"Respondent commercially benefits from the adult-oriented website that the disputed domain name resolves to.  Internet users interested in Complainant may become confused as to Complainant’s affiliation with the disputed domain name."
The Panel ordered the disputed domain names be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
