Apple has recently been awarded the domain name wwwapple.com .The company filed a complaint to WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center,requesting the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
Apple owns many registered trademarks for the "Apple" term.Therefore,they contended that the disputed domain name was confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover,the complainant contended that the respondent registered and used the domain name in bad faith .
The panelist decided that Apple should have the domain name.Therefore,he ordered the disputed domain name be transferred from the respondent to the complainant .
