Google filed a UDRP complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against Wachter Consulting over five domain names in a case that's still pending .
The five domain names are : Applestores.com, imacstore.com, macdaily.com, mactimes.com, and usedmacs.com.All five domain names belong to the same owner- Wachter Consulting,which owns about 6,000 domain names .
Apple owns many trademark registrations both for the "Apple mark",as well as for the "Mac" mark.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark.Therefore,it may be difficult for Wachter Consulting to hold on to these Apple-related domain names.
The case is still pending compliance checks at WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center .
