DNS BE has recently released its 2009 annual report .At the end of 2009 ,the total number of .be domain names was 978,000,representing a net increase of 14 per cent .

There were 232,747 new domain names registrations in 2009.That means an increase of 4,4 per cent compared with 2008 .
.be extension remained the 11th Eurpean ccTLD at a short distance behind Denmark .
Moreover,the majority of .be domain names are being managed by the 18 largest registrars.The first ten registrars have almost 40 per cent of all domain names in their portfolios .
