Afilias announced at the 39th International Meeting of the ICANN that it has been selected by dotHOTEL as the TLD registry and DNS provider.
dotHotel will apply for the new TLD ( .hotel) when ICANN will start accepting application.It is said that ICANN will start accepting application for new TLDs in the second quarter of 2011.

The new Internet extension , .hotel is supported by the International Hotel and Restaurant Association.
