Afilias,the company behind .Info,has recently announced the winners of its 2011 .Info Awards,highlighting the best sites built on .info domain names this year .
The winner was designated and calculated from both judges' scores and a public vote .- The first place and the $10,000 prize goes to TrafalgarSquare.info ,a website that is celebrating the famous London landmark .
- The second place and the $5,000 prize goes to Typografie.info ,a German language site,realized for those interested in graphic design and typography .
- The third place and the $3,000 prize goes to Frauenundhiv.info,a German language website for women interested to know more about HIV/AIDS or for those who are living with HIV/AIDS .
"I found www.frauenundhiv.info to be a model of its kind: friendly information and advice, neatly organized and displayed without visual flourishes. I can imagine how useful this would be for all who need to explore the subject of women and HIV in the privacy of their own homes.," said judge Anand Parthasarathy .
Dozens of websites have been submitted from 17 countries around the worls .
