The ongoing battle between ICM Registry, the applicants for the .XXX
TLD, and the adult industry who are opposed to its introduction, has led
to a call-to-action by the Free Speech Coalition, a US-based adult
industry lobby group.
The FSC is asking for the adult industry to speak up and voice their
opposition to .XXX with two options. One is by completing a survey that
the FSC will compile the results of and forward to ICANN. The other, and
better way the FSC says, is via individual submissions to the ICANN
comment period.
The FSC has made some suggested points for those interested in making
their own submissions including that many who have pre-registered .XXX
domain names have done so through fear others will register their
domains and a lack of transparency from ICM.
