AAA gets hands on two domain names

The American Automobile Association, also known as AAA has recently won aaamortgagecorp.com and americanautomobileassociation.com domain names through arbitration. The company filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, claiming rights to domain names .
The American Automobile Association registered the "AAA" mark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Therefore, they contended in the complaint that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark.
Moreover, they contended that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain names in bad faith.
"The intentional use of the AAA marks in the Domain Names without any legitimate interest in the names and for the purposes of pecuniary gain demonstrates a bad faith intention to capitalize on the Complainant's marks. The registration of the Domain Names also constitutes disruption of the Complainant's business and is further evidence of bad faith registration under the Policy."
Because the respondent failed to submit a response in this proceeding and because the complainant managed to demonstrate all the elements needed, the Panel ordered the disputed domain names be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
