$219 million could have been saved by registering the domain names before cybersquatters

Corporation Service Company, the largest Registered Agent service company in the world representing hundreds of thousands of business entities worldwide recently announced that about $220 million were spent on recovering domain names through Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.

Moreover,it seems that if the ones who owned the brands registered the domain names before the domain names were registered by somebody else about $219 million would have been saved.
According to an article ,the most disputed domain names had "www" as a prefix.
This study was made to help brand owners understand the value of a domain name and that is necessary to prevent cybersquatting .
Robert Holmes, Director of Accounts with CSC said "It isn't possible to completely eliminate the risk of cybersquatting; however, our analysis shows clear brand infringement patterns which can help avoid the unnecessary cost of going to UDRP.Our research helps brand owners identify these patterns so they can prioritize domain name registrations for the future and reduce the risk of infringement."
