“At its General Assembly held in Budva, Montenegro on February 17, 2016, the CENTR elected Pierre Bonis, Deputy CEO of Afnic, to its Board of Directors.
Pierre Bonis has been working for 15 years in the sector of ICTs, technical Internet governance and domain names, successively holding positions in the French government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ministerial cabinet offices in charge of the digital economy or innovation) and in Afnic, which he joined in 2012 as Deputy CEO. A specialist in international cooperation issues, Pierre Boris has been elected to the Council of European National Top-level domain Registries (CENTR) board of directors for 2 years.
“It is a source of great pride that our counterparts wished me to join the board of directors of CENTR. But above all it marks their recognition of the involvement of Afnic within the CENTR, as well as the vitality and quality of the .fr TLD. Whether in the working groups, or the engagement of Mathieu Weill in discussions on the reform of ICANN, and now on the board of directors of CENTR, Afnic has always shown its readiness to meet the challenges facing our industry today,” stated Pierre Boris.”
